Environmental
Saving the environment is no longer a fashionable cause, a fad or a crusade; it’s a responsibility. Batphone Aviation Communications takes this responsibility very seriously. There is a balance to be struck between living in the twenty-first century, benefiting from the technological advances that that brings, and preserving our world for future generations. There are different ways in which we can all contribute to saving the planet; it is unrealistic to stop flying, abandon the use of cars and stop anything that emits CO2. However if we all do a little it becomes a lot and Batphone Aviation Communications has already introduced an environmental policy to do our little bit.
Batphone Aviation Communications has:-
| • |
Disposed of company cars in favour of public transport. |
| • |
Introduced a policy of recycling all newspapers and non-confidential waste paper and other suitable refuse. |
| • |
Introduced a switch-off policy to ensure televisions, computers, printers and other equipment are not left on stand-by. |
| • |
Introduced energy saving appliances and lighting in our offices. |
| • |
Adopted the use only of digital photography ourselves and introduced a policy of accepting only digital images from contracted photographers to save the unnecessary use of chemicals in photographic production. |
Batphone Aviation Communications aims to be carbon neutral by 2009. Watch this site for our progress.
